This is why freelancers over 50 have higher life costs

A lot of freelancers that are 45 and above have strong freelancing careers that last for years, or better said decades. Since the pandemic started, there have been more and more people around 50 years old who have also switched to remote work. Yet, the truth is that there’s injustice in the system for freelancers over 50. One example would be a corporate tax bill, and the other can definitely be insurance. Freelancers have higher or lower costs, depending on regional differences

The biggest increases in their premiums have happened in Wales, 6.2%, and South West, 6.6%. In London, the price was lifted by 0.8% only. Unfortunately, it’s not all great for freelancers in London because they will have to pay the highest price for car insurance. Eye tests, traveling, retail, and even prescriptions can also be found at lower prices. Royal Shakespeare Company gives a 20% discount. You can also check Beamish Open Air Museum, as well as Tate Modern.

Some other places like The National Theatre and TrustedHousesitters* also have special discounts for everyone who is above 50 and 60.
